Culinary Creations

Food has always played a big role in my life.

I’m a self-taught, self-proclaimed food connoisseur. I love trying new recipes and cooking techniques. Today, I continue to use food as a way to learn about new things.

With cooking, I can express my creativity.

Cooking lets me transform my ideas for creative flavor combinations into a reality. I look for new, interesting ways to use ingredients and play around with texture and flavor profiles. I often try to recreate delicious meals I’ve eaten, because I find joy in creating something from start to finish.

I love exploring new cultures via their food, learning about the history behind their dishes and absorbing regional language.

Time and time again, I've always found an answer with food.

I once made a short film pondering the origins of everyday foods. For a policy research paper, fine dining found me again as I discussed the ethics of foie gras. When I worked on my own startup in high school, I focused on sustainable culinary equipment.

While I might not know what’s next for me, I know food will continue to be a part of my life.

I once made a short film pondering the origins of everyday foods. For a policy research paper, fine dining found me again as I discussed the ethics of foie gras. When I worked on my own startup in high school, I focused on sustainable culinary equipment.

While I might not know exactly what’s next for me, I know food will continue to be a part of my life.

Food brings people together.

Cooking is a universal language that brings people together but allows them to express their individuality.

Cooking is a time where you can experiment. Cooking with others is an even more personal process, where you have to trust one another and work together. It’s an art project you craft. Any way you put it, food deepens relationships.

Food has always played a big role in my life.

I’m a self-taught, self-proclaimed food connoisseur. As a child, I watched a lot of Food Network. Today, I continue to use food as a way to learn about new things. In the picture you’ll find a croquembouche, a tower of creampuffs held together with caramel.

Time and time again, I’ve always found an answer with food. Once, when I made a short film, I pondered the origins of everyday foods. When I struggled to find a topic for a policy research paper, fine dining found me again as I discussed the ethics of foie gras. When I worked on my own startup in high school, I focused on sustainable culinary equipment.

While I might not know what’s next for me, I know food will continue to be a part of my life.

Cooking is the embodiment of my creativity.

Cooking has enabled me to make my ideas for creative flavor combinations into a reality. It’s an outlet for me to express myself. I look for new, interesting ways to use ingredients and play around with texture and flavor profiles. I often try to recreate delicious meals I’ve eaten, because I find joy in creating something by myself from start to finish.

To me, it’s beautiful that simple ingredients like flour, eggs, sugar, and butter can come together to make a cream puff, just due to the process in which they’re combined. I love exploring new cultures via their food, learning about the history behind their dishes and absorbing regional language.
